Kanye Not Happy With SNL Skit
Kanye West is furious that he and baby mama Kim Kardashian were mocked onSaturday Night Live this past weekend.
In the skit, “Waking Up with Kimye,” Jay Pharaoh and Nasim Pedrad took on the roles of Kim and Kanye, completely mocking them — the whole thing based around the word “genius,” which Kanye uses frequently.
“Kanye was not happy about being dissed, he doesn’t think any of it is funny,” a source close to the singer told HollywoodLife.
“He considers them to be one of the most influential couples that has ever existed. He might just refuse to go back on SNL ever again.”
Lady GaGa, the host of the evening, joined the segment as an Apple employee who worked at the Genius Bar. Kanye, naturally, told her that she didn’t deserve the title of “genius,” and that he and Kim did — they even threw in an “I am God” statement.
Kanye Explains The Jesus Portrayal On Stage
During a recent interview with Wild 94.9 in San Francisco, Kanye West spoke about the significance of having Jesus portrayed at his concert.
“I had a friend of mine that’s a pastor there as we started discussing how we wanted to deliver it,” Kanye West said. “My girl even asked afterwards, ‘Is that weird if Jesus comes on stage?’ They’re like, ‘No. We do plays all the time. People play Jesus. You know what’s awesome about Christianity? We’re allowed to portray God. We’re allowed to draw an image of him. We’re allowed to make movies about him. Other religions, you’re not allowed to do that. That’s what’s really awesome about Christianity. That’s one of the really awesome things.'”
Kanye Charged With Battery & Attempted Theft
Kanye West has been charged with battery and attempted grand theft following an alleged paparazzi scuffle at LAX. City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said on Friday, September 13, that the misdemeanor charges carried penalties of maximum six months in jail each. Kanye is scheduled to appear in court on October 10.
The alleged airport incident took place on July 19. In a video which was obtained by TMZ, the “Black Skinhead” rapper is seen glaring at paparazzi members who waited for him at the airport. West got mad at a paparazzo and said to him, “I told you don’t talk to me, right? What you tryna do is get me in trouble so I’ll have to pay you like $250,000.”
In the video, West appeared to have lunged at the paparazzo. According to Mateljan, the rapper also attempted to take the paparazzo’s camera. West was long gone when the police arrived. Paramedics were called to the scene and the videographer, Daniel Ramos, was taken to hospital.
Ramos claimed that he suffered from leg injury and wore crutches for two weeks because of West’s action. “He’s still in pain,” Ramos’ attorney Gloria Allred said in late August.
Earlier in July, West was involved in a similar incident at the same airport when a paparazzo talked to him. Holding a camera, the man congratulated West on his music. The rapper replied, “I appreciate that but don’t talk. Don’t talk to me. I don’t want to hear paparazzi talk to me or anybody I know.”
“Don’t talk to me at all and don’t talk to anyone I know at all and tell everybody, never talk to anyone that anyone knows. Don’t talk to themselves, don’t talk ever again,” he added. West later turned to the paparazzo and reached for his equipment when asked about his plan in music.
