Man “Makes It Rain” in the Mall Of America

Serge Vorobyov

A 29-year-old Minnesota man who says he was trying to spread holiday cheer by tossing 1,000 dollar bills over an upper floor railing at the Mall of America has been cited for disorderly conduct.

Serge Vorobyov, of Apple Valley, admitted throwing his “last $1,000” from the fourth floor on Friday as a choir performed “Let it Snow.” Vorobyov said he also kept tossing cash as he continued down the escalator.

Vorobyov said he’s going through a divorce, lost his car hauling business and hoped the positivity of throwing the money would come back to him.

He invited his estranged wife to try to win her back but she didn’t show up, he said.

“I wanted to do some sort of pay it forward kind of thing,” Vorobyov said Sunday.

R. Kelly Impersonator Explained

Screen Shot R Kelly

R&B musician R. Kelly has angered fans after allegedly sending an impersonator to perform in his place at a concert in Louisiana this weekend – or at least that’s what the promoters say.

“We was scammed because 10 o’clock we was there, no R. Kelly. 11 o’clock no R. Kelly, 12 o’clock no R. Kelly, 12:45 no R. Kelly. 1 o’clock here comes an impersonator,” says one of the attendees, while other adds “the advertisement online through Ticketmaster said that it was a Ced’s All Black Affair and R. Kelly performing live which did not happen last night.”

While the news reports say an impersonator came in place of R. Kelly, I’ve talked to a few radio DJ’s that I know in the city who say it was in fact R. Kelly. Turns out Kellz was paid for a walk through, NOT a concert or performance. He was simply paid to show up and party for 15-20 minutes. Also, the promoter says it wasn’t him who contacted the news station. The statement about him being duped and giving refunds is false.

Is There A Beef Between Drake & Future?

future&drake

The leaves are falling as the seasons change, but one constant is a hip-hop beef.

Rapper Future is now in the throws of a beef with Drake, that has cost him a spot on Drake’s tour (plus the money that comes along with it) after he allegedly made some comments about Drake’s new album in Billboard Magazine.

Last month, Future was booked to tour with Drizzy and R&B crooner Miguel on the cross-country “Would You Like A Tour” tour, however it now looks like his name has been dropped from the bill.  Things went downhill after Future dropped by Billboard’s offices earlier this month to promote his new album Honest. The drama ensued later that day when his comments regarding Drake were posted on Twitter by the magazine’s associate editor.

Reportedly, Future said, “Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do.”

In another portion of his interview he upped the ante saying that his music was hands-down better than Drakes.

“I’ve been on the songs of all these rappers that put out an album, and my music is still better.”

Instead of starting a petty back and forth Twitter war, Drake simply kept things professional….he cut Future from the tour line-up. No word now from either camp if they will reconcile or reunite on tour, but this teaches the rest of us a valuable lesson: don’t clown the album that feeds you.
