Don Cheadle Will Be Miles Davis In New Biopic

According to The Huffington Post, Cheadle will play Miles Davis in a biopic the actor has long planned on the innovative jazz pioneer.
BiFrost Pictures told The Associated Press on Wednesday that it will finance and produce “Kill the Trumpet Player,” with Cheadle also making his directorial debut. Cheadle has been trying to make the film for years. Production is finally set to begin in June.

According to the rapper-actor, it was her uncle who informed her about the role and insisted that she try out for it. After some phone calls, Mama was eventually plugged in with one of the producers of the film.

LIL MAMA AS LEFT EYE“I got the script,” Lil Mama said. “I came in and the casting agent looked at me and said, ‘I wouldn’t change a thing.’ Sent the tape out. I read for the director and from there I did the screen test and it was history. I found out I got the role after three tries and that’s pretty much the story.”

In preparation for the role, Lil Mama spent time with TLC members Chilli and T-Boz in pre-production rehearsals.

“They would tell me about the way she moves, how I was really similar, but certain things I had to change a little bit in posture, or how she would react to CRAZYSEXYCOOL PREMIERE 1certain situations,” Lil Mama said. “So it was very informative and it was very helpful in preparing for the role.”

During the vladtv.com interview, Lil Mama also spoke about a moment during filming where she says her performance moved Left Eye’s sister, Raindrop, to tears.

“After I got out of the scene, Rain started crying,” Lil Mama said. “And I said, ‘What’s wrong?’ And she said, ‘Nothing’s wrong. Everything is right.’ And that melted my heart to know that I pleased her ’cause your siblings, like that’s the closest thing to you.”

New Trailer: Thor”The Dark World”

A new full-length, uncut trailer for “Thor: The Dark World” was released during the broadcast premiere of “Iron Man 2” on ABC Tuesday, September 17. It mostly contains footage which has been included in the previously released trailers, with a few new scenes including the one which features a quick look at Idris Elba’s Heimdall and a slightly longer look at a fight scene at the end of the video. 

In the “Thor” sequel, the God of Thunder fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. 

Chris Hemsworth returns as the title character with Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki, whom Thor turns to for help. Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard and Jaimie Alexander are among other returning cast members of the action, fantasy movie.
