Rick Ross, the boss of Maybach Music Group, is set to appear on the cover of The Source magazine. The magazine is slated to appear in newsstands November 26 a little over a month before his new album Mastermindis set to be released, according to mtv.com.
“It feel good as hell,” Ross says in a clip for The Source,as posted in a video on mtv.com. “When you look at these dope-ass covers, just being on The Bible, it still means that much to me.”
This is Ross’ fifth cover appearance for The Source, according to the rapper.
Ross appears on the cover of the magazine wearing a blue fur coat and sun glasses. He also dons white pants, red underwear and a snake skin belt.
The issue of The Source that Rick Ross is on the cover of is set to also include stories regarding Tupac, The Notoious B.I.G., Drake, Pusha T, Cam’ron, Dom Kennedy and Big Daddy Kane, among others.
MMG compilation mixtape pays homage to Lil Snupe
Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group is giving a shout out to the late rapper Lil Snupe.
A protégé of MMG rapper Meek Mill, Lil Snupe was murdered in June. Ross and MMG are paying homage to the late up-and-coming rapper on their forthcoming compilation album, Self Made Volume 3.
Set to hit stores on September 17th, the album features an intro track titled “Lil Snupe Intro.” The late rapper isn’t featured on the rest of the album but his mentor, Meek Mill, has a strong showing.
Among the other MMG artists with appearances on the 16-track record are Rick Ross, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. Artists such as Fabolous and Lupe Fiasco also contributed to the album.

Just when we thought Gucci Mane has left the building, he’s back with a new video. This time he invites viewers into the seedy world of the drug game in ‘Trap House 3,’ co-starring his partner-in-rhyme Rick Ross.
Apparently, the clip tells the story about two street hustlers carrying out a major deal of cash and drugs at the trap house. Of course, when it comes to the drug life, there’s going to be some type of danger. This leads to a rival drug crew setting up to raid the crib with Guwop and Rozay inside.
Although these two big-time rappers are clearly not involved in the drug game, the video should be viewed as entertainment for mature audiences. The visuals are alluring and hold your attention thanks to the superb direction of Dre Films.
And let’s keep it real, the slow-grinding, sinister beat is quite addictive to the ear.
